Construction Superintendent Job Description

SST Direct is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of assigned buildings or projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the proper construction of assigned buildings or projects, adhering to plans and specifications, and meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with testing agencies, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Supervise and manage assigned personnel, including carpenters, laborers, and equipment operators, to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including hours worked, equipment usage, and material receipts.
  • Inspect and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement effective scheduling and planning strategies to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Director of Construction to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful project completion and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of personnel.
