We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, GA. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients referred by a licensed physician in accordance with the Practice Act for the State of Georgia and the Guidelines for Professional Conduct of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and treat patients referred by a licensed physician in accordance with the Practice Act for the State of Georgia and the Guidelines for Professional Conduct of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Actively supervise and participate in the care of patients treated by Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants and Athletic Trainers.
- Comply with hospital policies and support the mission and values of the hospital.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate therapy treatments with other therapy providers, including Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (LPTA's), Occupational Therapists (OTR's), and Speech Therapists (SLP's).
- Collaborate with all other members of the St. Mary's Health Care System, including nurses, physicians, and hospital personnel.
- Duly licensed by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy.
- Graduate of an APTA or other accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- Broad experience in a variety of different clinical settings through APTA or other accredited clinical internship programs.
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of Physical Therapy, including evaluation, treatment planning, modality applications, and all manner of therapeutic exercise and patient mobility treatments.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate therapy treatments with other therapy providers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all other members of the St. Mary's Health Care System.
