Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • TEXPAC Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of TEXPAC, including membership management and fundraising efforts.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase TEXPAC's membership and available funds.
  • Political Education
    • Design and deliver political education programs for TMA members, focusing on politics and advocacy.
    • Provide guidance and support to TMA members on political issues and campaigns.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for TEXPAC and political education initiatives.
    • Collaborate with the Vice President, Public Affairs, to ensure alignment with the association's overall strategy.
  • Communication and Outreach
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including TMA members, politicians, and other healthcare organizations.
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage TMA members and promote TEXPAC's mission.
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Provide general supervision to a department, making recommendations regarding hiring and firing.
    • Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve TEXPAC's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Requires a bachelor's degree and several years of experience in Texas legislation and/or campaign management.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong understanding of Texas politics and legislation.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires frequent travel and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and organized individual with a strong passion for politics and advocacy.
