Physical Therapist Position at Friendship Community Care, Inc.

Schedule: Flexible

Compensation: To Be Determined

Job Type: PRN
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution and possession of an Arkansas State License to practice physical therapy.

Overview: We are in search of a committed Physical Therapist to implement therapeutic techniques and training methodologies with our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze social history, psychological background, medical history, and prior therapy documentation.
  • Engage with clients and caregivers to identify and assess needs.
  • Administer relevant assessments and evaluate to ascertain functional capabilities and potential.
  • Complete all assessments, documentation, and billing in accordance with established timelines.
  • Relay information to team members and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
  • Provide referrals or recommendations for therapy and/or necessary equipment.
  • Formulate treatment plans based on evaluation outcomes and team insights.
  • Conduct individual and/or group therapy sessions within the clinic to address specific goals.
  • Communicate program modifications to team members to ensure consistency across disciplines.
  • Adjust treatment and equipment as needed based on client progress and development.
  • Employ appropriate strategies to manage challenging behaviors/responses.
  • Advise clients, parents, and family members on treatment plans, home exercises, and follow-up care.
  • Utilize effective communication methods with colleagues, including daily updates via voicemail, email, and interoffice correspondence.
  • Ensure therapy orders remain current throughout the treatment duration.
  • Provide training to staff regarding treatment materials and methodologies.
  • Supervise practicum students as needed.
  • Participate in educational programs and job-related workshops provided by the organization.
  • Engage in reading and research of professional literature and texts.
  • Ensure the use of up-to-date technology in client interactions.
  • Deliver therapy services across various settings served by the clinic.
  • Manage an assigned caseload to meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain all necessary documentation related to client records in compliance with legal and licensing standards.
  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive.

Maintain confidentiality regarding all information pertaining to Friendship Community Care, Inc. and its clients, adhering to the organization's Non-Disclosure Policy and HIPAA regulations.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to effectively read, write, and present information to a diverse audience.

Mathematical Competence:

Ability to accurately interpret and calculate various measurements and reports.

Analytical Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to interpret complex instructions.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform physical tasks and engage effectively with clients.

Quality Assurance & Compliance: Adhere to QA and HIPAA standards to uphold quality benchmarks.

  • Comply with the Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures.
  • Maintain and update client progress notes and records as mandated.

Work Environment:

Work in an environment with moderate noise levels.
