Job Description

At Catapult, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating people and processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading a product line team, will be the go-to person for everything non-IT related involving an automotive project's organization and timeline.
  • Use Oiles PMO processes to keep projects within scope and budget.
  • Manage internal and external team members within the project scope.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Develop full scale project plans and schedule timelines.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Participate or Co-Lead projects as assigned by the PMO within other OILES functional teams.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Define project scopes in line with product groups.
  • Create Quote Packages for PMO and Account Manager approval
  • Alert Program Manager or Management Team when projects drift off schedule
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Program Management preferred
  • 2 to 5 years' experience working with program management and structured teams
  • Solid working knowledge with traditional program management tools is preferred: MS project, SharePoint, MS Teams, and the Office 365 suite of products.
  • ERP system familiarity (e.g. SAP) is a plus.
  • Automotive quality management system knowledge (e.g. IATF 16949, APQP, etc.) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills handling multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills to prioritize assignments and work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Above average written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Strong listening and evaluating skills to assist with issues that are in direct relation to customers.
  • Interface well with all associates and demonstrate exceptional diplomacy and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work with little supervision.
  • Current environment will require significant hands-on effort. Infrastructure size varies depending on product line. Multi-functional efforts are often required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and motivate teams. OILES product line teams consist of a very wide range of expertise.
  • Ability to get PMP certified if required.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment/computer.
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Occasionally required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach with arms.
  • Work has standard vision requirements to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away and able to adjust focus.
  • Vocal communication is required using the spoken word to express or exchange ideas clearly so listeners can understand.
  • Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
