Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Solutions Architect to join our team at Microsoft Corporation. As a key member of our Integrated Planning and Execution (IPE) team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data engineering solutions that support planning executives, analysts, and program managers.

Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing Azure Data Factory pipelines in a business-production environment. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining success/failure pipeline monitoring through Logic Apps, Azure alerts, and Azure Incident and Change Management (ICM).

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database development, as well as experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Gen2. You will also need to be able to work closely with the Business Intelligence team, program managers, and stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and drive good design.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to be able to collaborate with multiple engineering teams when building ingestion pipelines and drive continuous improvement through good documentation, adherence to agile methodology, and commitment to measuring success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Azure Data Factory pipelines in a business-production environment
  • Build and maintain success/failure pipeline monitoring through Logic Apps, Azure alerts, and Azure Incident and Change Management (ICM)
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team, program managers, and stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and drive good design
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering teams when building ingestion pipelines
  • Drive continuous improvement through good documentation, adherence to agile methodology, and commitment to measuring success

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in technical program/product management, coding, software development/delivery work
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database development
  • 2+ year(s) of customer-facing experience
  • Experience in Logic Apps
  • Experience in Delta Lake solutions
  • Experience using and administering Privileged Identity Management in the Azure portal
  • Experience in creating alerts on Azure resources
