In your role as an Oncology Infusion Nurse, you will be responsible for administering, monitoring, and documenting chemotherapy and other infusion therapies as prescribed by our oncology and hematology specialists.


Daily Responsibilities:
As an infusion nurse, your day will be filled with rewarding interactions. You will be the trusted guide for patients, offering education about their treatments and emotional reassurance. Your role is crucial, as you will develop close relationships with patients who spend significant time in our infusion rooms, becoming a source of strength and support.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
  • Perform venipuncture and access ports for treatment administration.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for.
  • Stay informed about various infection treatments, serving as a resource for both patients and team members.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA, OSHA, and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to maintain high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, you should meet the following criteria:
  • Possess a professional nursing degree; a BSN is preferred.
  • Hold a valid nursing license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • Bring at least one year of nursing experience, preferably in oncology.


Physical Requirements:
This position requires:

  • Extended periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination to assist with patient care.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
