Your Role
As a Veteran Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Veteran Services Program. Your primary responsibilities will include providing administrative assistance to the program staff, managing information requests, and performing clerical tasks such as drafting correspondence, answering inquiries, welcoming visitors, entering data, and coordinating meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Professionally greet callers and visitors, assessing their needs and directing them appropriately.
- Compose and format reports, memos, letters, and other documentation.
- Conduct data entry tasks with accuracy.
- Assist in the administration of grant billing processes.
- Generate reports and create presentations as needed.

What You Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
- This position is primarily office-based, with potential travel of up to 10%.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
- Critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Capability to maintain accurate records and present data in a timely manner.
- Flexibility and self-motivation to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities.
- At least 2 years of experience in an administrative support capacity.
- Experience working with individuals facing addiction or mental health challenges.
