About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team at Acutronic. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling complex mechanical systems and components, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test complex mechanical systems involving a large number of parts, with a focus on precision and accuracy.
  • Evaluate the alignments of axes in relation to each other, verifying orthogonality and angular displacement measurements.
  • Use a variety of tools, including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and other equipment to fit and size parts.
  • Clean and prepare parts for paint, and assist in the packing and shipping of equipment to customers.
  • Perform field service functions on equipment, both domestically and internationally.
  • Assist Quality Control in the calibration and maintenance of the metrology lab.
  • Maintain an orderly work area, machines, and equipment, and meet budget and schedule requirements.
  • Provide feedback to the Engineering Department to reduce production problems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical school or machining apprenticeship is desirable.
  • At least five years of mechanical experience is required, 10 years of experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%-15% domestically, and occasional international travel may be necessary.
