Job Title: Assistant Vice President, Risk Management - Stress Testing

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President to join our Quarterly Stress Testing team in Global Treasury Risk Management (GTRM). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the design and execution of quarterly stress testing processes in support of State Street's capital planning and risk management processes.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial instruments, stress testing, and capital planning practices. You will be responsible for contributing to stress testing production processes, liaising with stakeholders across finance and risk, and performing assessments of the firm's capital adequacy and compliance against broader risk appetite limits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to stress testing production process, including scenario design, identification of risks for scenario consideration, linkage of risks id's to scenarios
  • Liaise with stakeholders across finance and risk during risk appetite limit recalibrations
  • Perform an assessment of the firm's capital adequacy and compliance against broader risk appetite limits
  • Assess firm's processes and ensure appropriate existence and effectiveness of controls
  • Validate that workstream processes adhere to regulatory and firm requirements
  • Self-identify areas for improvement across the process and maintain continuous improvement mind-set
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of financial instruments across a wide range of businesses
  • Understanding of stress testing and capital planning practices
  • Understanding of bank balance sheet and income statement
  • Bachelor degree required, Master degree in Finance, Economics, or in STEM subjects a plus
