Cleveland Clinic's Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in providing world-class patient care. As a PRN Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with patients of all ages, assessing and treating conditions that affect communication and swallowing. With a focus on inpatient acute care, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Cleveland Clinic, you will be part of a team of experts who are dedicated to providing the best possible care for our patients. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, using evidence-based practices and the latest technology to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, be licensed to practice in Ohio, and hold or have applied for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but not required.

As a caregiver in this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a focus on patient-centered care. You will be expected to evaluate and treat patients with injuries and/or diseases that result in a loss or impairment of speech, language, voice, cognitive, and/or swallowing function. You will also be responsible for performing initial and ongoing assessments, establishing goals and plans of care, and completing documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with injuries and/or diseases that result in a loss or impairment of speech, language, voice, cognitive, and/or swallowing function.
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Establish goals and plans of care.
  • Complete documentation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Ohio license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Hold or have applied for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a clinical setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform tasks needed for patient care and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
