Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at TEKsystems c/o Allegis Group. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, stage, and set up IT equipment and infrastructure according to specific instructions and protocols.
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to quickly identify and resolve issues with IT equipment and infrastructure.
  • Replace faulty components and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of IT equipment and infrastructure.
  • Communicate and report incidents to Datacenter Technician Leads and escalate as necessary.
  • Perform logistics and warehouse support tasks, including sending and receiving equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components required.
  • 1+ year(s) experience supporting IT equipment or related technology required.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays, required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous datacenter experience.
  • Basic server repair and maintenance skills.
  • Knowledge of networking and connectivity troubleshooting.
