Trade Compliance Subject Matter Expert: In this role, you will oversee the export compliance framework, including policies and procedures, to ensure adherence to U.S. export control and sanction laws and regulations. This encompasses the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Anti-Boycott Laws, Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations, and Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR). You will collaborate with regional export compliance teams regarding international export regulations. This position reports to the Trade Compliance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all compliance protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct annual reviews of existing export compliance policies and procedures, leading self-assessments to pinpoint areas for process enhancement. Ensure timely implementation of solutions to improve the efficiency of export control obligations.
  • Oversee and execute export-related compliance projects as directed by Leadership, Legal, or Corporate Compliance.
  • Promptly report any potential or suspected violations of export control regulations to Leadership. Assist in investigations of suspected breaches; ensure the accuracy of all compliance disclosures to government entities; aid in the development of corrective actions; monitor the effectiveness of these actions and coordinate necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree with 3-10 years of experience in managing export compliance programs and working with diverse or remote teams.
  • Capability to formulate and enhance a comprehensive export compliance strategy and drive its successful implementation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with demonstrated proficiency in computer and presentation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and personnel management abilities in a dynamic work setting.
  • Must be a U.S. person due to the nature of handling export-controlled issues and projects.
