Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with team leadership to identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, blockers, and impediments that may impact team progress and ability to deliver value across programs.
  • Aggregate product team objectives and progress to ensure visibility and transparency.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among teams and stakeholders at portfolio level events to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Use metrics, assessment tools, and indicators to gauge the health and effectiveness of the team of teams.
  • Drive the adoption, reporting, and review of data and metrics to measure and optimize the effectiveness of both product delivery and engineering excellence.
  • Guide continuous improvement efforts to enhance delivery and effectiveness of the team of teams.
  • Provide coaching and consulting to Portfolio and Product Team leaders on best practices to accelerate maturity and remove organizational barriers to agility.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline and at least eight, typically ten or more years related experience as a project team member, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies, and objectives, and Agile Methodology.
  • Highly competitive applicants will have some combination of experience with Program or Portfolio Management, Prior experience as a Release Train Engineer and/or Scaled Agile, Experience working in or around Software delivery teams, Customer facing applications, Digital experiences, and/or Insurance Industry, Experience user or administrator of Atlassian Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Microsoft Power BI Reporting/analytics dashboards.
