Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Engineer to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our Construction Services Group, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring inspection efforts on complex projects to ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and monitor construction field work tasks and activities to ensure conformance to plans and specifications.
  • Administer KPIs and budget, and review complex contract documents to ensure compliance.
  • Perform or oversee on-site material testing, and review plans and specifications to determine material requirements.
  • Track item quantities, prepare pay estimates, and ensure procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.
  • Initiate field changes to drawings and specifications, and review contractor's daily construction reports for accuracy and consistency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 5 years relevant experience, or Doctorate degree in Engineering and 4 years relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Highway Technician Certification Program (HTCP) certifications preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certified preferred, and trained in digital construction management software such as AASHTOWare Project.
