We are seeking a skilled Radiographic and CT Procedures Specialist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a PRN Rad-CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic and CT procedures at a technical and professional level, exercising independent judgment and initiative to ensure quality images and pertinent information for diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in documentation and evaluation of clinical performance of student radiographers.
- Perform Daily QA procedures on all equipment.
- Complete appropriate documentation for every procedure when necessary.
- Employ safety techniques for all patients and associates.
- Utilize communication devices to perform patient care.
- Perform IV insertion/blood draw.
- Perform diagnostic X-ray and CT exams.
- Assist radiologists with CT guided and x-ray guided interventional procedures.
- Administer IV/Oral/Rectal contrast for imaging procedures.
- Utilize 3D Vitrea workstation.
- Utilize PACS to ensure exams are completed and available for radiologists to read.
- Enter correct information manually and from modality worklist.
- Send studies to PACS from modality.
- Log in and log out of PACS.
- Review prior studies, reports, and study lists in PACS.
- Use Patient Merge functions.
- Enter correct information manually and from modality worklist in the PRID workstation and Digital Radiography equipment.
- Send images from PACS to Ruby Memorial.
- Demonstrate proficiency with CT Scanners, Pressure Injector, and Accuvein.
- Perform IV insertion /blood draws, including performing 1-stat creatinine tests and documenting results.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the NMTCB.
- Radiologist Technologist through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners, or applicable state where services will be performed.
- Maintain active BLS certification.
- Two (2) year's experience in Radiology or CT.
