Patient Care Technician III

Envision Radiology is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Care Technician III to join our team at our North Arlington, TX location. As a Patient Care Technician III, you will play a vital role in ensuring the exceptional patient care experience while in our center.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform detailed clinical screening of patients for technologist review, informing them of any contraindicated responses that could interfere with patient safety.
- Assist patients with securing valuables and changing into proper attire for the examination.
- Initiate IV for contrast studies and provide medical attention for contrast reactions under the guidance of the radiologist, monitoring completion and retrieving lab values.
- Prepare room and non-sterile trays as needed to assist technologists/radiologist.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times in all security zones of the Center.
- Support the technologists in preparing patients for the exam, helping patients on and off the imaging table, and escorting them back to the lobby or suitable waiting area.
- Assist with the Priors Management Grid (receiving and validating priors), obtaining, importing, and validating prior outside studies.
- Prepare images and paperwork to be sent for interpretation, sending images through the PACS system to the appropriate location as needed.
- Contact referring provider office to obtain updated order and to clarify orders when needed.
- Collaborate with the Patient Scheduling Coordinator when there is a change in exam/prep for the scheduled patient.
- One plus year of administrative experience in a healthcare environment - radiology preferred.
- Experience placing IV's is highly preferred, and able to provide medical attention for contrast reactions under the guidance of the radiologist.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
- Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment.
- Ability to continuously "exceed" company and customer expectation.
- Strong communication skills & professional demeanor.
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED) - continuing education preferred.
- Active CPR certification.
- Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, Paramedic, and/or EMT training is preferred.
