Job Overview

Position Summary: The Quick-Lube Technician role encompasses more than just fluid checks and basic upkeep. In this position, you will be responsible for changing oil, assessing transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspecting belts and filters, and monitoring air levels and gauges. Additionally, our technicians perform tire rotations, replacements, repairs, brake services, fluid services, alignments, and handle minor recalls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tests to ensure systems and components are secure and functioning correctly
  • Identify systems or components that may have caused issues
  • Perform vehicle test drives for diagnostics
  • Maintain high efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
  • Proactively repair or replace worn components to prevent breakdowns
  • Utilize power tools, machine tools, and standard hand tools for various tasks

Qualifications:

  • Quick problem identification skills
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities
  • Proficient reading, computer, and math skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and repair procedures
  • Comfortable using electronic diagnostic tools
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical degree is preferred
  • Prior automotive service experience
  • Minimum of 1 year in a service department role
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Positive and friendly demeanor
