About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Analyst to join our team at Clarivate Analytics US LLC. As a Patent Analyst, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive searches and written opinions on patentability for a variety of technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough searches of patent databases to identify relevant prior art
  • Prepare written opinions applying the most relevant prior art to the disclosure
  • Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and other proprietary databases of technical publications
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and changes to search procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Clarivate's Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
  • 1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to complete projects against deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous patent examining/patent searching experience
  • Highly skilled developing a search methodology and conducting searches
  • Experience with Orbit, PatBase, Google Scholar or PatSeer
Work Environment

This is a remote position, and all work must be completed in the United States. A computer running up-to-date versions of Windows or Mac OS, reliable high-speed internet connection, and a secure work location are required.
