Home Health/Hospice Billing Specialist

A Hug Away Healthcare is seeking a skilled and experienced Biller to join our team. As a key member of our billing department, you will be responsible for managing billing and collections for Medicare and Medicaid in Texas, handling credentialing processes, and ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims.
Key Responsibilities- Manage billing and collections for Medicare and Medicaid in Texas.
- Handle credentialing processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing issues.
- Maintain patient billing records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures.
- 1-2 years of experience in home health, hospice, and medical equipment billing.
- In-depth knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing regulations in Texas.
- Experience with credentialing.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
