Job Summary:
Maintenance Technicians at Jobs for Humanity are responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the physical plant and aesthetic beauty of our hotel properties. This includes performing repairs and maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and appliances, as well as ensuring the overall cleanliness and safety of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair equipment, fixtures, and appliances in guest rooms, convention areas, and public areas.
- Perform cosmetic repairs, including changing light bulbs and making minor repairs to walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Repair and maintain irrigation and sprinkler systems, as well as pool and pool area equipment.
- Keep adequate parts, materials, and supplies on hand and inform supervisory personnel of job status and project status.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and report any unsafe working conditions.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor, including cross-training.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 25 years of experience in commercial or institutional environment preferred.
- Light carpentry and knowledge of paint and wallpaper required.
- HVAC, plumbing, or electrical skills preferred.
- Certification in pool operation preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
- Must pass criminal background check.
