Drainage Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Drainage Engineer to join our team at DRMP. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and managing drainage projects for transportation improvements in Florida.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and design drainage projects for Florida DOT and municipal roadway improvement projects, including stormwater management, roadway pipe drainage systems, and water quality BMPs.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design for transportation improvements projects in Florida.
- Prepare construction details, plans, specifications, and estimates for roadway drainage systems.
- Collaborate with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
- Direct and mentor lower-level support staff.
- Conduct engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks, including collection and analysis of data.
- Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering.
- Florida professional registration (PE) or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Five (5) to fifteen (15) years of relevant and progressive drainage design experience.
- FDOT hydraulic design experience (preferred).
- Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control design experience.
- Proficiency in MicroStation, GEOPAK Drainage, FDOT Storm Tabulations, ICPR, HEC-RAS, and GIS (preferred).
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of applicable FDOT hydraulic design standards, FEMA requirements, and SWFWMD regulations.
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
