Patient Account Advocate

Welcome to the Patient Account Advocate role at NovaCare Rehabilitation, where you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, addressing patient inquiries, and resolving account-related issues with professionalism and courtesy.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Medical Office Support Specialist, working closely with patients, insurance providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and resolution of account inquiries. You will possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a positive attitude to handle challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer and respond to patient calls in a timely and professional manner
• Comprehend and communicate complex insurance and patient responsibilities related to account balances and billing
• Resolve patient and internal account inquiries through verbal and written communication
• Process and apply patient payments accurately
• Document all interactions within the billing system
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve patient account inquiries
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum one year of customer service experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Salary:
$15.50 per hour
