Principal Engineer: Water and Wastewater Treatment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team in the Department of Water Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water and wastewater treatment, with experience in project management, engineering, and regulatory compliance. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage water and wastewater treatment projects from inception to completion
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Provide excellent customer service and communication with stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment
- North Carolina Professional Engineer Registration or equivalent
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
