Job Description

As a Solution Architect at Esri, you will play a key role in designing and implementing innovative ArcGIS platform-based strategies and solutions for our customers. Your expertise in GIS platform architecture and solution design will enable you to translate customer system requirements into software architecture and design specifications.

You will work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS enterprise platform and non-Esri platforms. Your ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to customers, executives, and other technical staff will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative ArcGIS platform-based strategies and solutions
  • Define business continuity for on-premise and cloud deployments
  • Define best practices for deploying ArcGIS platform and design systems
  • Translate customer system requirements into software architecture and design specifications
  • Advise customers on innovative solutions using Esri technology and content
  • Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions
  • Work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows
  • Develop organizational level multi-year IT/GIS strategies

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in GIS platform architecture and solution design
  • Professional experience architecting, implementing, and administrating enterprise IT-GIS solutions/systems
  • Hands-on experience with Esri Software
  • Demonstrated experience in platform architecture, solution design, project envisioning, planning, developing, and deployment
  • Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and/or other RDBMS and Windows, Linux, and/or other server environments
  • Programming and scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, and/or HTML5
  • Knowledge of integration of other enterprise systems
  • Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts
  • Experience with current technology implementation patterns
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas
  • Experience in leading and empowering team activities

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Certification for AWS Certified Solution Architect or MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure of equivalent
  • Master's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related STEM field
