Position Overview

The Scrum Master II is responsible for overseeing the agile development process, ensuring that sprints are effectively planned, executed, and reviewed. This role involves conducting daily scrums, collaborating on requirement documentation, and removing obstacles to maintain team momentum. The Scrum Master will coach and work alongside cross-functional teams, Product Owners, and fellow Scrum Masters to promote decision-making and continuous enhancement of processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate all scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Ensure the Scrum framework is understood and adhered to by the team.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of Agile practices within the organization.
  • Collaborate with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters for professional growth.
  • Act as a servant leader for the Agile Team, guiding the initiative delivery team.
  • Partner with Product Managers to maintain project plans and communicate team progress.
  • Develop high-level business requirements and assess the justification of initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • SAFe 6.0 Certification (SA, PO/PM, etc.).
  • 7+ years of experience in information technology, with a focus on Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficient in using tools such as Atlassian (JIRA/Confluence) and cloud platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience in servant leadership within an Agile Release Train.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings across various organizational levels.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
