Job Overview

The Brain and Spine Center PLC seeks a skilled Checkout Coordinator to play a vital role in ensuring seamless transitions for patients at the end of their visit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Payments:
    • Collect and process patient payments accurately and efficiently, verifying insurance coverage and informing patients about their financial responsibilities.
  • Appointment Scheduling:
    • Schedule all follow-up appointments and procedures ordered by healthcare providers, coordinating with medical staff to ensure appointments align with provider availability.
  • Patient Communication:
    • Explain procedures, treatments, and follow-up care to patients, ensuring they understand what has been ordered during their visit.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare administrative role is required.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

In this role, you will work closely with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other team members to ensure a cohesive patient experience. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the eClinicalWorks EMR system and ensuring all patient information is confidential and compliant with HIPAA regulations.

Estimated Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
