The Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic After School Program Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our coaching staff, you will lead engaging activities that develop essential life skills in TK/K-6th grade students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Motivating students through social-emotional learning and enrichment activities such as STEAM, music, and Lego.
  • Leading lessons designed to increase excitement about learning.
  • Assisting with homework completion and snack distribution.
  • Effectively managing student behavior with minimal assistance.
  • Ensuring student safety during outdoor activities.
  • Working effectively with staff and embracing professional development.
  • Serving as a positive role model to build kids' self-esteem and emotional wellness.
About You

We are looking for a candidate who has experience working with elementary and/or middle school kids. You should be able to:

  • Implement engaging lesson plans while maintaining accuracy and organization in activities.
  • Effectively support kids' behavioral management needs.
  • Connect with students and foster positive learning experiences.
  • Improvise, adapt, and take initiative when needed by paying close attention to student needs.
  • Be approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids.
  • Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
  • Be comfortable utilizing online platforms for training and resources.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with school administrators, parents, and fellow coaches.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Complete and pass a Live-Scan background check and TB screening.
  • Have 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused experiences.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Be willing to follow COVID-19 protocols outlined by the school.
