Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Staff to join our team at Advocates. As a Direct Support Staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and role modeling to individuals living in a residential setting.
  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as cooking, personal hygiene, and dressing.
  • Administer and manage medication, following Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
  • Transport individuals to appointments when needed and complete shift notes.
  • Ensure the home is welcoming, comfortable, and safe.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in developmental services/behavioral health area preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving status.
  • Use of a reliable vehicle, which seats two passengers.
