The Infection Preventionist (IP) is a key member of our nursing center's team, responsible for developing and implementing effective infection prevention and control strategies to ensure the highest quality of patient care. This role requires a strong background in nursing, infection prevention, and control, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) to prevent and control infections and communicable diseases within the nursing center.
  • Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control best practices, including new hire orientation and ongoing education programs.
  • Support outbreak management and employee health initiatives to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address infection control needs and develop strategies to improve patient outcomes.

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.
  • Specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
