The Infection Preventionist (IP) is a key member of our nursing center's team, responsible for developing and implementing effective infection prevention and control strategies to ensure the highest quality of patient care. As a seasoned nursing professional, you will work closely with our staff to identify and mitigate infection risks, promote a culture of safety, and provide education and training to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) to ensure the quality of patient care as it relates to the investigation, control, and prevention of infections and communicable diseases.
  • Provide infection prevention and control training to new hires and ongoing education to staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address infection control needs, and develop strategies to prevent and control outbreaks.
  • Monitor and analyze infection control data to inform program development and improvement.

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.
  • Specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
