We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis. You will prepare financial plans and forecasts based on performance expectations, gather and publish financial information related to historical, current and future performance, and perform financial analysis utilizing appropriate financial concepts and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended and current business information.
  2. Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports.
  3. Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level.
  4. Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance.
  5. Perform financial analysis, as directed by management, and recommend alternative courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with SAP ERP system software and Hyperion Planning/Essbase systems.
  • Must be skilled in the use of financial modeling.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
