Job Summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Milton is seeking a per diem ICU RN to join our dynamic and fast-paced 8-bed critical care unit. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, making complex nursing judgments, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients and make necessary nursing judgments.
  • Systematically assess the health care needs of individuals or groups and formulate a care plan, its implementation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate care and direct assistive personnel to provide safe, effective, efficient, equitable, and timely patient-centered care.
  • Maintain annual mandatory education requirements, including emergency skills and unit-based competencies.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to professional development.
Requirements
  • Equivalent to a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
  • 2-3 years of acute care nursing experience, with ICU experience preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
