We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Associate to join our team at UNC Health. As an Administrative Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure and maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring that our offices are well-stocked and equipped to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
- Train and develop colleagues in administrative procedures, utilizing verbal and written communication skills to ensure a smooth transition of knowledge.
- Coordinate complex scheduling of providers, staff, facilities, home care, and patients, ensuring that critical meetings and medical procedures are executed efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain basic financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures and systems.
- Prepare complex forms, reports, presentations, and other documents, utilizing software proficiency to create, proofread, and edit correspondence and documents for internal and external circulation.
- Register patients, complete encounter forms, collect patient payments and insurance information, and make proper referrals to financial departments.
- Represent UNC Health with internal and external entities, ensuring that our organization's goals are met through effective communication and problem-solving.
- Serve as a second level of response to customer inquiries and complaints, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- One year of clerical or administrative experience
- Ability to learn and master the scheduling system
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
