About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer - Principal to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our custom solutions and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Static Code Analysis tools (Fortify) and Dynamic Code Analysis tools (WebInspect) to review, adjudicate, and provide security-focused feedback to software developers on source code written in Java, C++.
  • Coordinate with software developers and/or government accreditors to adjudicate Fortify or WebInspect findings and false positives.
  • Brief leadership on the Fortify findings & security status for all software releases.
  • Download and evaluate latest DISA STIGs for use in hardening & patching.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant engineering experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with Cybersecurity Engineering.
  • Experience with downloading & evaluating latest DISA STIGs.
  • Experience with Static & Dynamic Software Analysis (i.e., Fortify, WebInspect).
  • Must possess Security Certification in accordance with DoD M IAT-III (CISSP or equivalent) Compliant Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • An advanced degree in STEM with 8+ years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework as described in NIST Special Publication and NIST Security and Privacy Controls as described in NIST Special Publication.
  • Experience with System Hardening and Accreditation.
  • Self-Starter requiring limited direction and supervision.
