About the Job

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy new or modernize existing Intelligence Community (IC) Information Systems (IS) to comply with Zero Trust principles aligned with NIST
  • Contribute to safeguarding critical information systems and data against advanced cyber threats
  • Expert in the utilization of computer system security logs, network router logs, and cyber security tools to respond to potential incidents as required
  • Serve as a staff officer for a wide range of IA/cyber security initiatives and vulnerability management issues in support of AIE Cybersecurity Program and related activities
Requirements
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a TS (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI)
  • TDY Travel may be required 35% or more of the time
  • Requires Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification
Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience deploying new or modernizing existing Intelligence Community (IC) Information Systems (IS) to comply with Zero Trust principles aligned with NIST. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).

In addition to the specialized experience listed above, your resume must show you have Information Technology-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies as defined:
