Water Mitigation Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Water Mitigation Technician to join our team at SERVPRO. As a key member of our restoration team, you will play a critical role in helping customers recover from property damage caused by water.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare rooms/areas for work activities, setting up staging areas and equipment for each project.
  • Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
  • Perform production processes as directed, including water extraction, demolition, moisture readings, mold remediation, paperwork, contents removal, and cleaning.
  • Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown, leaving the jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license.
Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.

This is a labor-intensive construction-related position that has a rotating on-call/response requirement. IICRC Certification is preferred but not required.
