About the Role

A Radiology Technologist is required at Atrium Health Charlotte to perform radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist.

The ideal candidate will coordinate daily activities, including performing examinations and associated clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Document patient history related to specific procedures on requisitions submitted by physicians.
  • Verify patient identification through verbal confirmation and validation of proof of identity.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as needed.
  • Consult with radiologists and other physicians as necessary.
  • Select and operate equipment according to individual procedure demands and demonstrate correct anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintain appropriate records in accordance with departmental standards.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a formal Radiology Tech program in an AMA-approved facility.
  • ARRT registration and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from AHA.
  • If a new graduate, registry eligibility with registry completion within one year of hire date.
