KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites and manufacturing facilities to ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote preventive measures.
  • Lead investigations into safety incidents and prepare detailed infraction reports.
  • Must possess certification as an OSHA 500 Train the Trainer.
  • Facilitate safety training sessions.
  • Perform risk assessments on construction activities to identify safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assess contractor operational practices and equipment for compliance with safety standards.
  • Execute all responsibilities in alignment with Environmental, Health, and Safety Guidelines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in the construction or manufacturing sectors.
  • Candidate must have access to a reliable vehicle, with travel to job sites comprising 50% of the weekly schedule. Out-of-town travel is expected, with weekends spent at home.
  • Demonstrated maturity and professionalism.
  • Flexibility in workday start times is required, as early mornings may be necessary.
  • On lighter travel days, administrative project work will be expected.
  • Proven experience in risk assessment, emergency response, and incident management.
  • Exceptional writing skills are essential.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required.
  • Excellent customer service abilities are necessary for interaction with senior management and external clients, fostering collaboration among various departments, OSHA, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in computer use and the ability to learn various software applications utilized by the firm.
  • Must successfully pass a drug test and background check.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, adaptable to schedule changes, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
