Job Summary

Gallagher Bassett Technical Services, a division of Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., is seeking a skilled professional to join our Construction Site Safety Operations team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of an active roadway construction site utility work team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure client sites perform all required actions and duties related to system safety compliance, fire/life safety, safety training, required safety certification, emergency procedures, plans, and drills, and any other on-site safety/risk management compliance.
  • Experience and understanding of the construction work being performed and all safety, health, and security implications related to roadway construction and utility projects.
  • Prepare daily safety inspection reports and related audits for system readiness. Conduct weekly safety meetings, perform site orientations, and coordinate contractors and other safety personnel for daily construction activities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED with effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Successful completion of the 10-hour or 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety & Health (29 CFR 1926) Course.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable motor vehicle transportation.
  • Ability to work on your feet for long periods (8+ hours per day), lift pounds, have good hearing and vision, and work in all types of seasonal weather and temperature conditions.
  • Availability for off-shift and weekend work on occasion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial building construction safety-related experience.
  • Completion of the 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety & Health (29 CFR 1926) Course.
  • Knowledge of OSHA construction standard regulations and state/local building code/safety regulations.
  • Excellent observation skills.
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual communication skills.
  • Located in the Hillsboro County, FL regional area.
Work Traits
  • Ability to negotiate client properties/work sites, including walking, climbing (stairs and ladders), lifting, and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work independently to deliver on a timely basis with minimal supervision and be prompt.
  • Strong organizational skills to participate in multiple projects, tasks simultaneously, prioritize assignments, and prepare daily inspection reports.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, professional, and industry standards and practices.
  • Proactive attitude and customer service focus.
