Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Community Health Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for promoting health improvement programs and providing education to individuals and groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health improvement programs to promote core health initiatives, including smoking cessation, adult immunizations, heart health, cancer prevention and detection, and wise self-care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify regional preventive health issues and develop strategies to address them.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote healthy behaviors and disease prevention.
  • Conduct community outreach and engagement activities to promote health improvement programs and services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • RN with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Registered Nurse license in good standing in North Carolina or Virginia required.
