Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Technician to join our team at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. As a key member of our C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program, you will be responsible for assembling, disassembling, and modifying aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Oversee assembly, disassembly, or overhaul of aerospace vehicle components.
  • Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
  • Oversee training and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working from heights and using fall protection equipment with weight limitations of 225lb or lower.
  • 3+ years' experience having the ability to read, understand, and interpret basic engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • 3+ years' experience in detecting hazardous working conditions and safety problems via a regular check of equipment and work area.
  • 3+ years' experience in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices.
  • Preferred qualifications include knowledge of live aircraft operations, environment, and support, including structural, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and propulsion systems operations.
