Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement a procurement plan to reduce costs and improve quality
- Evaluate and assist in vendor selection, ensuring excellent supplier performance
- Oversee and participate in contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
- Operational Performance
- Orchestrate enterprise-wide supply chain processes for needs determination, procurement, distribution, and disposal of supplies, equipment, and purchased services
- Oversee procurement initiatives from conception to completion, driving collaborative change throughout the organization
- Partner with hospital executives, service line leadership, and key stakeholders to identify business needs and formulate solutions to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve quality
- HR Development
- Hire, train, supervise, counsel, and evaluate direct reports
- Mentor developing Operational Leaders on performance improvement techniques, including assisting with strategic planning of initiatives focused on Health System priorities
- A Master's degree in hospital administration, health care planning, business administration, public administration, or an approved related program, and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in health and medical service administration, public administration, personnel and labor relations, finance, or appropriate functional discipline
- Or a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in health and medical service administration, public administration, personnel and labor relations, finance, or appropriate functional discipline
- A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience working for a hospital system and specialized knowledge and experience with procurement and supply chain in a healthcare environment
- 8-10 years of relevant experience showing a progressive increase of responsibilities and experience in healthcare supply chain management
- Healthcare supply chain management contracting, vendor program management
- Healthcare indirect and non-clinical spend categories
- Cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, market and supplier research and analysis
- MS Office Suite
- Contract Management software
- ERP software experience
