Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing engineering projects and ensuring excellence in technical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a recognized authority within the organization in a broad area of expertise or a highly specialized field.
  • Engage in negotiations on critical and complex issues with senior engineers and executives from various organizations.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices to inform decision-making.
  • Make independent, authoritative decisions on engineering challenges and methodologies that significantly influence engineering operations.
  • Act as an internal consultant to engineering teams and technical personnel.
  • Collaborate with Business Development teams on client proposals and project opportunities.
  • Oversee all engineering assignments, including the verification of calculations and review of engineering sketches.
  • Represent the company in external discussions and technical forums as necessary.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of relevant codes, project specifications, procedures, vendor data, and site design requirements.
  • Coordinate with colleagues in other departments as required.

Roles and Duties:

  • Conduct both computer-based and manual design calculations.
  • Provide overall supervision as needed.
  • Prepare material requisitions and contribute technical insights to subcontract packages.
  • Review inter-discipline drawings and vendor prints.
  • Assist in updating drawing schedules and forecasting man-hours while keeping management informed of staffing changes.
  • Stamp drawings as necessary.
  • Maintain original calculations and project documentation.
  • Serve as the lead engineer on projects of varying sizes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
  • Experience in Front-End through Detailed Engineering across various equipment types (including Heat Transfer, Rotating, and Static Equipment).
  • Experience with Clean/Green Energy projects is advantageous.
