Job Title: Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of mechanical systems for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the engineering team and communicate directly with project managers and material managers.
  • Create the skeleton structure in Teamcenter and distribute Excel versions to the MMP and PM.
  • Attend sales KOMs with the project manager, sales, MMP, and offer engineer.
  • Review project technical specifications, sales proposals, and sales estimates and clarify requirements with the project manager.
  • Develop crane general arrangement drawings and make steel structure calculations using KC Gantry and supporting tools.
  • Create subcontracted engineering workorders and head engineering KOMs with the design team.
  • Responsible for engineering project hours and schedules in ERMS.
  • Maintain project engineering schedules in ERMS and make third-party electro-mechanical component requirements.
  • Approve all drawings and crane design EBOMs in Teamcenter.
  • Schedule electrical coordination meetings and manage changes.
  • Develop design standards and maintain engineering and design best practices.
  • Provide transportation or erection drawings as needed.
  • Track design engineering quality issues and provide feedback to the quality department.
  • Stay current on industry standards and norms, including CMAA, AWS, OSHA, and ASCE.
