About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Client Care Coordinator to join our team at MSPCA Angell. As a key member of our Client Services Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless delivery of excellent client service and patient care from admission to discharge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate inpatient client care, providing status updates and addressing questions/concerns to ensure client comfort and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with hospital teams to manage patient care and assist clients in making a smooth transition to home care after discharge.
  • Provide exceptional communication skills, serving as a direct line of communication between clients and our veterinarians.
  • Meet with clients at patient drop-off, facilitate patient admission, and transport pets to treatment areas.
  • Follow inpatient population, providing patient status updates to families via phone, email, or text.
  • Celebrate patient success and offer kindness in the face of patient challenges and loss, demonstrating comfort care to patients and clients.
  • Facilitate communication between doctors and clients during inpatient care, addressing questions, soothing concerns, and relaying pertinent information.
  • Facilitate discharge of patients, reuniting pets with their families and guiding clients through doctor's home care and medication instructions.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven excellence in client service.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes of animal handling/patient care and common veterinary drugs.
  • Focus on operational/organizational excellence.
  • Demonstrate patience and empathy, essential for this role.
