PowerBI Consultant Job Description

At Dynamic Integrated Services, we are seeking a highly skilled PowerBI Consultant to join our Enterprise Optimization practice. As a PowerBI Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping our clients make data-driven decisions by assembling and maintaining a portfolio of spending-related data, assessing data, and providing insights and visualizations that synthesize findings to provide insights relating to strategic themes, priorities, dependencies, and pain points.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational analysis, skill deployment and balancing, reporting and analytics, and enterprise data system implementation
  • Interpret and anticipate client needs, feedback, and direction
  • Understand and simplify customer requirements
  • Collect, organize, analyze, report, and visually present data
  • Use standard data base software and analytics tools, such as MS SQL and PowerBI
  • Contextualize and articulate client feedback to other teammates
Requirements:
  • Relevant professional services experience in a federal contracting context
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and anticipate client needs, feedback, and direction
  • Strong experience with preparing strategic plans and conducting strategic assessments for the Federal Government; and/or for large enterprise-wide organizations; and/or experience with policymaking and planning that involves strategic planning and analysis in complex organizations
  • Ability to learn new tasks and maintain focus and complete tasks independently
  • Ability to remember processes and complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in two or more of the following: Operational Analysis, gap analysis, Data visualization, IT investment portfolio analysis, and/or SW product management
  • 2-4+ years management consulting experience, ideally with the public sector
  • Bachelor's in Business, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or similar degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience eliciting requirements and developing models, flows and SOPs
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools; intermediate-levels skill with Excel and either Power BI or Tableau are Day One skills
