About the Accounting Manager Position

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Manage all aspects of accounting, including financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
  • Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, detailed analyses, and account reconciliations.
  • Create, implement, and monitor internal controls and process improvements.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing operating budgets and performance forecasts.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP), purchasing, and treasury functions, ensuring the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure financial data and reporting reliability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working with or within audit firms, with a strong understanding of audit processes.
