The Community Engagement Manager will oversee the daily operations of the property, ensuring effective and harmonious relationships with residents. This role is crucial for managing the property in compliance with relevant HUD and IRS program guidelines, achieving the financial goals set by ownership and management, safeguarding the value and integrity of the real estate, and adhering to all applicable government agency standards and requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, personnel management, leasing, collections, resident services, maintenance, budgeting, capital improvements, information reporting, and ensuring all compliance-related documentation is completed while maintaining adherence to applicable laws and company policies.

The following qualifications are preferred for success in this role: experience in managing multifamily affordable housing, direct involvement with HUD and/or tax credit programs, proficiency in Yardi management software, and strong verbal and written communication skills. A successful candidate will excel under pressure, be self-motivated and self-directed, and be capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years in HUD Multifamily Section 8
  • At least 3 years of experience in property management
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit
  • Minimum of 2 years managing properties with 55 or more units
  • Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong conflict resolution and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail
