About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Analyst to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Lunar Transportation business unit, you will play a critical role in the development of our Blue Moon lander product lines.

Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and design spacecraft structures to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. You will work closely with our design team to integrate structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments, and develop finite element models to validate and correlate with tests.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze load paths from conceptual to drawing release and hardware creation
  • Develop and refine structural analysis models to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Integrate structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments
  • Develop and validate finite element models to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Generate strength checks and analysis reports
  • Support test and verification planning and execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in structural analysis and design
  • Previous experience in durability and dynamics tolerance on human-rate vehicles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, or Optistruct
  • Knowledge of composite materials and structures
  • Experience with thermal loads and vibro-acoustic analysis
  • Ability to work with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle, or automotive systems
  • Experience with ProEngineer Wildfire 4 or greater
What We Offer

At Blue Origin, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $136,467.00-$191,053.80, depending on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
